Abstract | Ratios and percentages derived from information submitted by Michigan's 29 community colleges are provided for fiscal year 1982-83. Section 1 presents tables showing instructional ratios and percentages, including data on enrollments by college by instructional category; the state's prison population; course contact/credit hour ratios by instructional categories; and state average headcount by instructional category. Section 2 presents personnel activity data, including the number of full-time equated positions by college, average compensation by college, and faculty percentages by instructional category. Section 3 contains information on total college revenues by college and revenue source; the history of state-equalized valuations by college; tuition charges by student credit hour; tuition rates by college; and 1982-83 general fund balance by college. Section 4 covers total college expenditures by activity by college; total instructional expenditures ranked by college; total operating expenditures by instructional categories; fringe benefits by college; general fund compensation by college; and student service costs per unduplicated headcount. Section 5 provides an activity classification structure report for 1982-83 which includes detailed information on courses, course sections, credit hours, student headcount, prisoner headcount, and headcount for instructional activities by college. A list of the state's community colleges and definitions of terms associated with the activity classification structure are appended. (HB) |
