Abstract | This publication, a guide for the improvement of instruction in industrial arts education for the state of Louisiana, is intended to help local administrators, teacher educators, and industrial arts teachers to determine the extent to which their programs are meeting the needs of the state's youth. The guide contains course information for five subject areas: manufacturing, construction, communication, transportation, and craftwork. For each subject area, a course outline, unit teaching guide, and unit inventories are provided. Course outlines consist of information on grade levels, prerequisites, course goals, and topics to be taught. Unit guides contain objectives, topics in outline form, student activities, teacher activities, and suggested resources. (KC) |
