Abstract | Materials contained in this career guidance unit focus on individual assessment of seventh grade students in relation to future school and vocational goals. The unit is made up of four individualized learning packets: Packet 1 deals with the learner's abilities and interests; Packet 2 explores values; Packet 3 looks at physical traits; and Packet 4 explores personal and social behaviors. Each of the packets is ninety minutes in length and may be supplemented with counselor and teacher assistance. The instructional sequence guides are outlined in terms of goal statements, performance objectives, instructor's information (including estimated lesson time, suggested grouping, content outline, new vocabulary, learner prerequisites, instructor's preparation tasks, resources), and a detailed outline for developing the lesson. Student activity booklets are provided for each learning packet. (TA) |
