| Abstract | This issue has 29 articles, both practical and theoretical in nature, that deal with aspects of writing at all levels. Topics range from conceiving ideas for compositions to evaluating finished works, from generating sentences to correcting spelling, from using old-time radio horror shows to stimulate creativity to making technical reports. Other articles address aspects of the back-to-basics movement, provide recommendations from the perspective of the British middle school, suggest ways to humanize the teaching of composition through continuing adult education, and provide interviews with two writers of adolescent novels. Authors include, among others, Gerald G. Gregory, Jonathan Lovell, Donald R. Gallo, R. Baird Shuman, and Kenneth Donelson. (KS) |
