Abstract | The problems that develop from delegation, as well as those which develop because of the lack of it, have received increasing attention in recent years. The manual presents a program based on the art of delegating authority and responsibility from a management perspective. The course is designed to help managers realize the value of delegation by understanding what and how to delegate and by identifying ways to overcome the forces working against delegation. The program can be conducted in 7 to 20 hours, depending on the background of the individuals in the program. The course was developed for the adult training level, but it can also be used for high school distributive education students and in postsecondary management training. The manual includes transparencies and a listing of films which are annotated. (VA) |
