| Abstract | Eccles Medical Sciences Library at the University of Utah has developed a computer-generated catalog for its audiovisual health and medical materials. The catalog contains four sections: (1) the main listing of type of media, with descriptions, call numbers, and Medical Subject Headings (MeSH) used for each item; (2) a listing by title, with call number; (3) a listing by MeSH subject headings; and (4) a gross categories list. While there are some problems with the system the computer-generated catalog allows increased access by users from physically diverse locations and could form the basis of a union catalog for health institutions in the Salt Lake area.
