Abstract | This volume reports the findings of a word frequency count for all selections in the Oriya textbook series including the 13 stories in "Graded Readings in Oriya," the eight stories in "Oriya Short Stories," and each of the three Oriya novels. The report is presented in the form of a grid. Each entry in the grid gives the number of a particular word in a particular story. The author suggests that students may wish to use the word count as a checklist to test his control of the vocabulary for any of the stories listed. Some 5,683 items are listed.
