Abstract	Is it possible to measure the impact of training programs in the area of democracy, human rights and tolerance education? Are there viable tools to help determine the strengths and weaknesses of programs, teaching materials, methods or individual training sessions. If so, which of these tools are the most useful? Approaching the issue of evaluation from a practitioner's point of view, this guide aims to fill a gap in today's literature on evaluation. It introduces the reader to the issue of evaluation, its relevance and implications for the field of education for democracy, human rights and tolerance. By providing a framework for planning and implementing evaluations, this book approaches evaluation not as an end in itself, but as an integral part of project work and a learning possibility for all involved.
