Abstract | "This article seeks to identify and highlight essential areas of the reform process of the New Independent States (NIS) of the former Soviet Union. It examines in particular to what extent the countries have addressed the policy challenges and the needs and priorities in the field of vocational education and training (VET) reform. Although starting from the same ideological and educational background, the countries have adopted their own approach to the reform process in order to meet their national requirements in line with local conditions." The developments regarding the following areas under transition are described: the declining and unstable economy, the labour market, ( vocational) education and continuing training. (DIPF/Bi.) |
