| Abstract | Based on her previous publications the author aims to show the potential of expanding the concealed human knowledge possessed by pre-service teachers in the school in which they practice. This means that they are introspective, accept themselves as teachers, accept their pupils as human beings, and accept one another. This can transmute necessary learning into lifelong learning. The research method involved data collection using interviews, observations (including video recordings), papers submitted by participants and the researcher's field notes, and focused on four pre-service teachers in their second year of teacher training..- This contribution was submitted by the authors as a paper for the 25th ATEE Annual Conference in Barcelona 2000.
