Abstract | In this short article the author describes ways that technology can help children with disabilities communicate, participate in activities, and be more independent in the classroom. She emphasizes the importance of collaboration between families and professionals who work with children as well as matching technology to each child's needs and abilities. A valuable list on what to consider from the Division for Early Childhood of the Council for Exceptional Children outlines recommendations on using assistive technology. (As Provided). |
