Abstract | Researchers surveyed teacher educators, most with Western postgraduate training, to determine how they adopted or adapted Western theories in teacher education and research in Singapore. Results indicated theories exerted considerable influence, especially in research. The theories were considered acceptable with modifications, especially in adjusting to European culture and Singaporean context. (SM) |
