AbstractStudy of preservice students who evaluated their performance as student aides found female aides in elementary classroom settings evaluated their performance significantly less favorably than did their cooperative teachers. No significant differences existed between self-evaluations of male and female aides in elementary schools. It was found that elementary classroom teachers rated female aides higher than male aides.
