Abstract | Youths perceive mothers and fathers as more conservative or traditional than their parents' responses justify. Youths exaggerate parental agreement. This polarized misattribution is independent of the gender of the youth, reflecting the "generational stake" of each cohort involved in socialization interaction. (Author) |
