Abstract | Khit-pen, or "appropriate thinking," is the guiding philosophy behind adult education in Thailand. The implementation of this concept in education and social development has been hindered by problems, including varying definitions of khit-pen, conflicting national and local priorities, lack of understanding and participation of practitioners, and the difficulty of evaluating what is essentially an internal learning process.
