Abstract | This article discusses a study completed at West Virginia University to determine the degree to which selected variables influence students withdrawal after the first year of vo-ag. The data from this study tends to indicate that a greater number of students might be retained in the program if teachers were to encourage first-year students to establish challenging and profitable experience programs, supervise those programs closely, and stress involvement in Future Farmers of America.
