Abstract | This article is a response to a commentary entitled "Comment on 'Rabbit-Ears Hybrids, VSEPR Sterics, and Other Orbital Anachronisms': A Reply to a Criticism," which focuses on the fundamental question of whether there exists a unique set of supposedly "real," or "best," orbitals for a given molecule. The authors of the present article suggest that the lack of detail in their original article, "Rabbit-Ears Hybrids, VSEPR Sterics, and Other Orbital Anachronisms," may have led to misunderstandings which the authors attempt to clarify through this article. [For "Comment on 'Rabbit-Ears Hybrids, VSEPR Sterics, and Other Orbital Anachronisms': A Reply to a Criticism," see EJ1067680.] (ERIC). |
