Abstract | Continued efforts to change the face of special education have resulted in an increased rate of referrals for the specialized programs of the Blind Childrens Center in 2005-2006. Parents are an integral part of training. Brothers, sisters and other sighted students are included in classes and activities. This is consistent with best practices, early childhood recommended standards and principles. This Annual Report profiles one center participant and presents the diversity of the center's activities and services, including: (1) Direct services; (2) Infant, Pre-school, and kindergarten programs; (3) Special events; (4) Field programs; and (5) Outreach activities. Fiscal information and development/administration activities are included. (ERIC). |
