Chapter 4, "What are Some Teaching Strategies and Activities I Can Use?" notes how to use the core curriculum, develop thematic curricula, use teaching strategies, and provide student activities. Chapter 5, "How Do I Stay Organized?" discusses keeping up with paperwork, creating binders, organizing the curriculum, filing student work, and establishing routines. Chapter 6, "How Do I Prepare For...?" discusses preparation for back to school night, parent conferences, report cards, substitute teachers, and the last day of school.
