Abstract | The papers in this collection explore a variety of economic and social issues facing Latino adolescents, including those of Latino diversity or unity, sexuality, and family values. The authors discuss ways to respond to these issues, suggesting approaches that can contribute to the healthy development of Latino adolescents. The chapters are: (1) "Latino Youth: Converting Challenges to Opportunities" (Rudy Hernandez, Marcelo Siles, and Refugio I. Rochin); (2) "The Impact of Growing Up Poor or Welfare Dependent on the Economic Status of Young Adults" (Anna M. Santiago); (3) "Sexual Behaviors of Latina Adolescents" (Antonia M.
