Abstract | These student activities are designed to be used in a variety of places in the curriculum to provide a global perspective for students as they study agriculture. This document is not a unit of instruction; rather, teachers are encouraged to study the materials and decide which will be helpful in adding a global perspective to the learning situation at hand. Each activity includes the purpose, student performance objectives, procedures for instruction, materials needed for instruction, and references. The following are examples of the 15 activities that are included: Developing a Bonsai Planting (T. Paulsen); Aquaculture: International Implication (D. McCracken); Forest Products from World Forests (J. Harrold); and American and Japanese Agricultural Cooperatives (B. Hanna). (DB) |
