Abstract	This report includes 87 1-page abstracts of presentations delivered at a conference on transition to work and life for disabled students. Names of presenters are included along with titles and abstracts are grouped into five major areas (sample presentation topics in parentheses): (1) career/vocational assessment (school-based vocational assessment, screening and vocational assessment of learning disabled students, curriculum-based vocational assessment planning); (2) transition projects (job-site work experience at the junior high school, workstudy/on-the-job training, transition programing within an urban community, employment in high technology, implications for counseling the Black male); (3) elementary career development, rural, severely handicapping conditions and personal/social adjustment (volunteering, community-based job training for autistic youth, industrial arts education, social/leisure skills instruction for mentally retarded adults, rural community-based program for severely handicapped students, life-centered career education activities); (4) postsecondary, business/industry linkages (transition through rehabilitation technology, issues concerning the targeted job tax credit, business/industry internships); and (5) personnel preparation (an interuniversity, competency-based vocational special needs master's program, needed policy changes in transitional services, vocational teachers' attitudes towards special needs, statewide model for leadership training of transition educators and human service personnel).
