Areas of discussion include characteristics of the country, the educational system in India, and the Directorate of Correspondence Courses. Specific topics include: the physical setting; the population; the economy; the government; communications; the various levels or types of education offered in India; characteristics of students of the Directorate of Correspondence Courses; courses; curriculum development; instructional meetings and media; delivery systems; student admission, registration, and records; academic support services; student assessment and testing; and the organization and administration of the university.
