The paper is organized into five major categories: (1) introduction, statement of purpose, design and scope of the study, and definition of terms; (2) review of related literature on the growth of the horse industry, equine education for the general public, and current college equine education programs; (3) survey procedures; (4) presentation and interpretation of the data; and (5) summary, conclusions, and recommendations. A bibliography is included. Examples of the questionnaire and opinionnaire forms and list of participating universities are appended. (JD) |
