| Abstract | This paper examines the practices and accomplishments of the military in the area of instructional technology. An examination of historical background is used to increase the precision of the definition of instructional technology. Specific contributions of the military are described and then uses of instructional technology in the military and the academic community are compared. Finally, specific examples of applied instructional technology are described, and suggestions for the future are presented. (CH) |
