Abstract | Texas Southern University's capacity to simultaneously conduct comprehensive academic instruction, research and development, and community service programs is evaluated in this document. Automated techniques and subjective reasoning have supplied the basis for the analyses. The major objectives of the report were to determine the resource capabilities for projected expansions in the following areas: Sociopolitical Education; Community Development and Urban Planning; Community Health and Recreation; Allied Health Professions; Cross-Cultural Education; and Human and Social Service. The secondary objectives were to develop statistical methods of coding the university's resource data in such a manner that they could be used in various program planning, development, implementation, and evaluation activities. Appendixes contain: a forecast of program expansion and statistics concerning the faculty at Texas Southern University. (Author) |
