Abstract | The author sketches the historical lines of thinking on key qualifications in Germany. He promotes the idea of the importance and impact of powerful learning environments by fostering teaching-learning processes, in which key qualifications can be experienced in using cognitive apprenticeship models and teaching learning environments.
