Abstract | This 6-issue, complete year of a Belgian-Dutch education (some with an English-language summary); reviews of new Dutch-language books; and titles from related Dutch-language journals. Issue 1 focuses on the professional development of teachers. Issue 2 deals primarily with parent education. Issue 3 addresses error analysis in children's mathematical problems and reviews the deregulation policy of the Dutch Ministry of Education and Science. Issue 4 covers professional and individual development. Issues 5 and 6 are combined in a special issue on State and parental child care in Flanders and the Netherlands and includes the index for the complete journal year. A special issue is included that contains pages from the 1993 meeting, "National Pedagogy Day." Its theme is education, democracy, and nationalism. (NAV) |
