Abstract | This document is a reprint of the report of the American Association of Junior Colleges 1970 International Assembly and a selection of articles that have appeared in the Junior College Journal since 1964. The purpose is to bring together a summary of recent discussions on the role of the junior college in the field of international education. With the dramatic growth of the junior college in recent years, there is a great desire to explore how the junior college idea can be adapted to the needs of other countries. The nations discussed in this book are: Japan, Canada, Taiwan, Jordan, Iran, Ceylon, Dominican Republic, India, South America, Britain, and Norway. The Shell Companies Foundation, Inc. assisted in the publishing of this book. [Because of marginal reproducibility of original, this document is not available in hard copy.] (Author/CA) |
