(Autor). Based on educational and instructional sciences the author presents practising in physical education as productive and educational practice. Following his critical diagnosis that practising is marginal in theory and practice, he first of all differentiates between practising and training. Then he elaborates on the productive potential of four realms of practising and illustrates them: embodied cultivation, figure oriented de- and reconstruction of movements, errors and mistakes as initial points for learning as well as variations and creativity in repetitions.
