| Abstract | In this article, the author discusses how several institutions are turning to popular technologies to streamline and facilitate fundraising efforts. These popular solutions include social networking websites and other Web 2.0 tools, e-mail marketing products, and a new look at enterprise-level solutions. At Monmouth College, web professionals created an animated fundraising slideshow that featured nostalgic campus photos and a soundtrack of the college choir singing the college song. Then an e-mail went out to 5,000 alumni with a link to the work. The response was overwhelming. On the first day alone, the e-mail generated 2,100 click-through views to the video and 120 donations of varying amounts. (ERIC). |
