Abstract	Although physical educators cannot be experts on every sport or activity, there is still a need to include specialized activities in the curriculum that a physical educator may not initially feel comfortable teaching because of inexperience and a lack of expertise. Golf, like other activities such as tennis, requires a specificity of training that many physical educators feel they are not qualified to provide. However, the fact that a physical educator is not ready for the professional tour does not mean that he or she cannot successfully teach the basic skills of golf and introduce children to a sport that can be enjoyed for a lifetime. In this article, the authors discuss teaching tips that provide practical ideas for teaching golf and will help physical educators face some of the fears they may have about teaching this lifetime activity that has been steadily growing in popularity.
