Abstract | Documents the learning constructed by two preservice teachers. One illustrates how preservice teachers interpret children's literature to help them understand and apply academic theory. The other highlights how preservice teachers generate their own theories about the nature of teaching, learning, and classrooms while interpreting children's novels. Both cases emphasize the importance of providing students multiple opportunities to articulate and revise their interpretations of children's literature in the education classroom. (SM) |
