Abstract | Discusses why teacher education programs implement instructional technology (IT) and how to accomplish this most effectively, noting that although today's technologies offer opportunities to enhance learning throughout teacher education, widespread practice of teaching with technology has not kept pace with technological advancements. The article recommends that teacher education programs examine their sociocultural contexts and bring their IT values into alignment with the risks and rewards of teaching with technology. (SM) |
