Abstract | Site visits to 11 agriscience high school programs and interviews with 11 teachers showed that (1) teacher attitudes had significant impact on African-American enrollment in agriscience; (2) high-tech, science-based programs enrolled more African-American students; and (3) schools with an African-American agriscience teacher had higher African-American enrollment in agriscience.
