Abstract | Sketches the interplay of authority and uncertainty that occurred during one year of an American Council of Learned Societies school-university collaborative project. Highlights the role of university scholars from the University of British Columbia's Faculties of Arts and Education. The new humanities scholarship's egalitarianism implicitly undercut the authority of the scholars delivering its messages. (16 references) (MLH) |
