Abstract | Describes a study that involved 40 girls in grades 2, 5, 8, and 11 in an effort to determine what influences girls' decisions to choose science. All the girls took a strong equity position and asserted that women can and should do science. Results also indicate that girls like learning science in an interactive social context. (ZWH) |
