AbstractProgram review is a critical process in higher education that helps institutions assess and evaluate the effectiveness of programs and services. Program review provides an opportunity for an institution to identify strengths and weaknesses in its programs and services and to develop strategies for improvement. Through the program review process, institutions can identify areas where they need to allocate additional resources or make changes to ensure their programs are meeting the needs of their students and stakeholders. At Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis (IUPUI), program review is a periodic, improvement-oriented process aimed at enhancing program effectiveness. Reviews are conducted for academic departments and programs, cocurricular and student affairs programs and services, research centers and institutes, and other campus support units. Programs go through the program review process every 5-7 years. This article highlights and shares the perspectives of program leaders who have recently engaged with the program review process at IUPUI. These leaders and viewpoints represent both academic and student affairs/cocurricular programs. (ERIC).
