Abstract | As one of the most extensive education systems in the world, Indonesia has achieved significant progress to improve the educational outcomes in the last two decades. The government has managed to increase school access, funding, and a high rate of school enrollment that in line with the government's policy on 12 years of compulsory education. Like many other developing countries, Indonesia has to deal with a significant challenge to move beyond improving access to education and move towards achieving a high-quality education. The Indonesian government has enacted a series of reforms for the sake of improving the nation's education quality, but managing such a massive education system is not an easy task. Despite the rapid progress in many areas fulfilled in recent decades, the challenges are still there. (As Provided). |
