Abstract | Dual-language education models are theoretical and practical systems formed through the process of dual-language education and centered on study and teaching. The language environment is the basis for developing and reforming dual-language education models. The author takes Xiahe County in Gannan Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture as an example and describes two current dual-language education systems that are relatively closed off and analyzes prominent problems in cognition and practice. Finally, the author proposes responses such as minority-Han joint schools, improving the quality of the general model, improving teacher team building, and resolving student promotion and employment issues.
