Abstract | Why should educators and service professionals bother writing for professional publication? Experienced editor, Sherron Roberts says writing for professional publication allows educators to share their work and make their practice visible. Any educator is quite capable of writing for a professional publication. This article is intended to show educators and nongovernment organization (NGO) professionals why they should submit their ideas for publication, and to provide some helpful advice in meeting the goal of seeing one's name in print. Because writing is often considered so laborious and difficult, it is easy to pass up the opportunity. Yet Roberts asserts it is important to share one's professional life, insights, growth, and learning through writing. (ERIC). |
