Abstract | This is the 2014-2015 annual report on the academic progress of English language learners in Miami-Dade County Public Schools. The purpose of the report is to: (1) Describe the demographic characteristics of students classified as English Language Learners (ELL); (2) Compare and contrast the academic achievement of students in the English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) program on the 2014 and 2015 End-of-Course (EOC) assessments; and (3) Describe the progress made by ELL students in the area of English proficiency based on the results of the Comprehensive English Language Learning Assessment (CELLA) during the 2014-2015 period.
