Abstract | The purpose of this grounded theory study is to discover the self-care actions, habits and attitudes, which contribute to occupational wellbeing of ECD [Early Childhood Development] crèche principals in a disadvantaged community. Failure to take care of one's own wellness and self-care jeopardises occupational functioning and the business. I explore the participants' self-care practices along different dimensions of living, to establish how they take care of themselves personally as well as in the workplace.
