| Abstract | The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of a school leader on school turnaround. This single case study examined the leader's effect on turnaround, through the eyes of the leader, the staff, and stakeholder. Analysis of the interview data provides insight into important characteristics of the leader and this successful case of school turnaround. A campus was selected for the study based on achievement of turnaround results in a quick time period. Participants selected were interviewed in face to face interviews, the interviews transcribed, and themes discovered from analysis of the transcriptions. Findings were categorized in themes that were consistently identified as important to the success of the turnaround.
