Abstract | The White House Conference on Child Health and Protection afforded a strong stimulus to work for atypical children; many of whom are suffering neglect under our present somewhat standardized system of schools. The number of school systems in this country in which attention is given to the education of children conspicuously deviating from the normal is increasing from year to year. As a result, teacher-training institutions have developed courses designed to prepare teachers for specialized work of this type. The attached manuscript gives information regarding the opportunities that are now available to those who wish to prepare themselves to teach the various types of exceptional children.
