Abstract | The U.S. Department of Education's Higher Education Center for Alcohol and Other Drug Abuse and Violence Prevention publishes "Catalyst," a newsletter covering current Alcohol and Other Drug Abuse and Violence (AODV) prevention issues at institutions of higher education. "Catalyst" discusses emerging issues and highlights innovative efforts on campuses that may be helpful to other institutions of higher education. This issue of "Catalyst" concerns campus and community coalitions. Articles in this issue include: (1) Mutual Interests: Involving Faculty in Campus Prevention Work (William DeJong); (2) Faculty Involvement with Prevention Data Collection; (3) Q&A with Linda Costigan Lederman; (4) Curriculum Infusion: Bringing Prevention Into the Classroom; and (5) Faculty Involvement at Sacramento State. This issue also includes a message from the Assistant Deputy Secretary for Safe and Drug-Free Schools and a list of resources for information on campus and community coalitions and related topics.
