Abstract | This paper is a reaction to a plenary address, "Fairness in Dealing: Diversity, Psychology, and Mathematics Education" by Suzanne Damarin (SE 057 179). Discussed are the importance of language in the repackaging of equity into the construct of fairness in dealing, the role of liberal feminism, race and ethnicity, physically structured marginalization, exclusion of class, victory of equal ability/attainment, and voice in the mathematics classroom.
