| Abstract | This directory brings together basic information about a variety of programs and organizations concerned with disability in 173 countries. The main body of the directory lists the countries alphabetically. Each country listing begins with a summary page which provides a map and basic demographic and statistical information about the country. Programs and organizations are listed alphabetically within their respective country listing. Information provided generally includes program or organization name, address, one or more contact persons, phone number, and a brief description. Also included are descriptions of organizations funded by the National Institute for Disability and Rehabilitation Research in the United States. Separate sections present listings of multinational organizations, member organizations of Rehabilitation International, member organizations of Disabled Peoples International, and a roster of International Exchange of Experts and Information in Rehabilitation (IEEIR).
