Abstract	This report lists contract salaries of superintendents and the minimum and maximum salaries scheduled in 1985-86 by 1,104 responding school systems for 21 other selected professional positions surveyed. The length of the school year is also noted. Eighteen summary tables show percentile distributions, means, and ranges of minimum and maximum salaries scheduled; three of these tables compare 1985-86 data with those collected in previous surveys and relate scheduled salary levels of various professional positions to those for classroom teachers. Tables report summary data on the length of the work year and the scheduled daily rate of pay for selected positions. The number of school systems employing personnel in each position category is shown; the number and percent of employees along with salary schedules are also given according to category. Summary data are presented according to the enrollment size of the school system, the per pupil expenditure for current operations, and the geographic region in which the school system is located. The tables reflect a summarization of the data reported by the school systems in the sample; no attempt has been made to obtain estimates of national statistics for personnel categories listed. (GJ)
