Abstract	This final report summarizes the activities of Phase 1 and Phase 2 of a project designed to develop curriculum materials to teach critical television viewing skills at the postsecondary level, including individuals in various community and professional groups, as well as students in formal educational programs. Defining such skills as those which enable television viewers to become more discriminating in their viewing habits, the project focused on developing materials that enable the viewer to: (1) distinguish between various program formats, (2) tell fact from fiction, (3) understand that television has its roots in the print medium, and (4) interpret various visual and aural stimuli from television. The report includes a summary of the development, field testing, distribution, teacher training, and publicity phases of the project. (MER)
